LIFEGUARDS:

Thank you for your interest in working at Deer Brook Swim and Tennis Club. DBSTC is looking for people who are able to work in a team environment that are responsible and self- starters.  Employees of DBSTC should possess a positive attitude and be able to work with a variety of people.  Staff must be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day).  Excellent communication skills along with a professional appearance and demeanor are required.  Click on the job title for a complete description of the job.

Job Descriptions

Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of members and their guests by monitoring all areas of the club and responding to emergencies.  Lifeguards ensure a positive experience by all members and their guests and club policies and procedures are adhered to.  Lifeguards create a fun atmosphere for members and their guests.  Lifeguards monitor the Club entrance gate.  Lifeguards must be at least 15 years of age and be energetic, reliable, outgoing and able to follow instruction and exercise discretion.  Lifeguard Training, First Aid and CPR/AED Certification are required.

Head Lifeguards perform all of the duties a Lifeguard performs.  In addition, Head Lifeguards are responsible for scheduling Lifeguards, ensuring proper daily staffing coverage, opening the Club, and coordinating daily activities.  Head Lifeguards must be at least 18 years of age and have a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Lifeguard.

Attendants accept and prepare food and beverage orders.  Attendants are responsible for ensuring a clean and orderly food preparation area.  Attendants ensure a positive experience by all members and their guests.   Attendants must be at least 15 years of age and be dependable, outgoing and able to interact with the public.  Prior cash handling and food preparation experience preferred.
