2021 Board members & Positions:

President: Keith Abruzzese

Keith Abruzzese was born and raised in Deer Brook, spending summers at the pool dating back to the 70s. He has seen the swim club evolve and contributed to many projects that have improved the club’s layout and function. Keith worked in various capacities at the pool for over twelve years, from cleaning and preparing the clubhouse for off season rentals, lifeguarding, swim lesson instructor, assistant manager, and as a part of the Bluefish coaching staff.  As a member of the swim team he experienced the Division E through A and first Tri-County Championships.   He knows what a great neighborhood Deer Brook is, and what a great part of the community the swim club can be.  Keith is looking forward to continuing the work that makes Deer Brook a great place to enjoy with his wife Alicia and their children Rocco and Octavia.

Vice President: James Moorhead

My name is Jim Moorhead and I will be holding the office of Vice President this coming year.  I have lived in Medford for 10 years with my wife, Patty and our three children. My wife, Patty grew up in Medford and even swam as a Bluefish. In 2018, my family moved to the Deer Brook neighborhood because, according to my wife, “Deer Brook is the best neighborhood in Medford.” Over the past two years, I have learned that my wife is absolutely right. The neighborhood is filled with great families that I am grateful to have as neighbors and friends. I am currently a special education teacher at Neeta School in Medford Lakes. I am excited for all of the remarkable things Deerbrook has to offer in the upcoming years and look forward to serving the community in this role.
